Zoe + John
are getting married!

June 12 - 14, 2026

at Camp Navarro

How zoe + John Met

The year was 2013 and Greg Richardson, John’s roommate, decided to take a “vacation” from San Francisco to the East Bay. “That’s not a vacation, that’s a commute!” his friends exclaimed. But that didn’t stop Greg from assembling the Bikes and Brews tour that would change our lives.

Zoe had been living in Berkeley, with a rotating cast of farm hippies including her cousin Zach Stein. Greg and Zoe are Soul Cousins (3rd generation family friends), and Zoe’s house was the first stop on a bike tour of Oakland.

On the morning of the meeting Zoe had visited the Squishy Section at Berkeley Bowl, perhaps the greatest grocery store in the world. The Squishy Section is stoked with produce that is just a little bit past its prime, making it squishy. That day she hit the jackpot, a dozen avocados for $5.

She took her loot and rushed home (every minute wasted representing a new brown spot). She was stirring a giant vat of guacamole when John walked into her kitchen.

That bikes and brews crew included Paul Mallory, John’s best friend who would become Zoe’s future housemate, Harrison Tucker who would become John’s Business Partner and Zoe’s Dear Friend, and of course Greg Richardson, who started it all. They ended up at breweries, an enormous thrift store where John and Greg carried Zoe around on a gurney, and a variety show at a dive bar. Ultimately, Zoe and John ended up together.
